AKGの子どもたちは、燃えそうな枝や葉をを集めたり、竹を切ったりすることに夢中になります。始めは、火は熱い。怖い。危ない。と、感じていた子どもたちでも、火に竹を入れたくて恐る恐る近づいてみたり、うちわで仰いでみたり、自分のタイミングで火に近づいていきます。
火の特徴を知り、次第に慣れていき大人顔負けの火起こしの達人になります。
そして、ランチ作りにも参加。幼い頃のこのような言葉では表現できない体験は、一生涯に渡る、自然と食へのに尊敬の念を抱くことにつながっていくと信じています。
